Speaker Bio
Owen Tracey is a senior partner in Kearney’s Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) practice. He joined the firm almost 20 years ago, attracted by its brand of achieving transformative, yet practical and tangible results. His career at Kearney has taken him from Europe to Australia, to Southeast Asia, and most recently to the United States where he is now based in Dallas. Owen currently leads Kearney’s Digital Infrastructure Practice in North America, focusing on the supply-side technology and economics that powers Telcos and the most recent AI boom. This includes coverage of Data Centers, Wholesale/ B2B Fiber and Specialized Network Assets such as Submarine Cables.
Owen focuses on the full set of issues across the value chain, including; growth strategy, M&A, technology choice, product, operations, divestments & decommission. However in keeping with the DNA of the firm’s heritage, the key area of focus is value creation through strategic operations, driving step change productivity improvement in the core business. In particular, working at the intersection of CMT and Private Equity. Outside of work, he is an avid traveler, live music fan and sports enthusiast. He is a long-suffering Liverpool FC supporter but 2025 looks like it could finally be THE year!
