Speaker Bio

Laura is a global health leader, educator, and social justice advocate committed to advancing health equity, crisis response, and humanitarian resilience. With expertise in emergency medicine, infectious diseases, and disaster response, she has led high-impact health programs and collaborated with the UN, WHO, and FCDO in crisis settings worldwide. Most recently, she was deployed on the frontlines in Gaza (2024).


As Global Head of Health and Wellbeing at Save the Children International, she oversees strategy and risk management for the health and resilience of 25,000 humanitarian aid workers across 116 countries, focusing on emergency preparedness, frontline resilience, and workforce wellbeing.


Nominated among the Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain (2024), Laura champions equity-driven innovation and leadership. A passionate adventurer and mentor, Laura integrates leadership with resilience-building in extreme environments empowering the next generation of changemakers to drive lasting global impact.




Laura holds an MSc in Tropical Medicine from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, an MSc in Global Health and Development from University College London, and has completed executive education in Systematic Approaches to Policy Design at Harvard University.
