Emanuel Kolta is a Lead Analyst at GSMA Intelligence, where he is responsible for research, analysis, and benchmarking on network innovation and energy efficiency. He works to identify operational, financial, and environmental benefits for mobile network operators and technology vendors. He led GSMA Intelligence's multiyear Energy Efficiency Analysis and Benchmarking project, which covered 95 mobile networks and 1.8 billion connections globally during 2024. He has authored several research papers and analyses, including "Going Green: Benchmarking the Energy Efficiency of Mobile" and "The Essential Role of AI in Improving Energy Efficiency."
Before joining GSMA Intelligence, Emanuel was a management consultant and held various analytical roles in telecommunications. He holds an MSc in International Economics and Business from the University of Groningen and a BSc in Applied Economics from the Corvinus University of Budapest."
