Brendan O’Reilly is Chief Executive Officer for the UK & Ireland at Boldyn Networks. Through his extensive industry background, strong customer relationships, and operational expertise Brendan and his team are leading the company’s business into the next phase of growth through innovative connectivity solutions. This includes Boldyn’s multi-year agreements with Transport for London and Sunderland, complex projects like Hornsea 3, the world's largest offshore wind farm, and large venues like first direct arena Leeds to name a few.


Brendan, previously Boldyn’s Group COO and Group CTO, has been a pivotal member of Boldyn’s executive team for four years, significantly contributing to the company’s rapid expansion across the US, the UK, and Europe.


As Group COO, Brendan was responsible for running Boldyn Networks’ global operations and provided input to the leadership teams in all regions around the company’s largest and most critical projects. He was directly responsible for the team in Hong Kong and led Boldyn Networks’ Technology, IT and Transformation teams, helping to grow the company’s global IT capabilities.


With almost two decades of telecommunications expertise, Brendan O’Reilly brings a proven track record of delivering complex technology strategies in the most challenging environments, from tailored wireless and fibre infrastructure deployments to private networks and sophisticated smart city-enabling technologies.


He has been instrumental in accelerating the company’s expansion of its neutral host solutions and magnifying its strengths as a telecommunications infrastructure service provider. This remit forms a core part of Boldyn Network’s growth strategy, which aims to cement the business as a global leader in the delivery of shared 5G network infrastructure.


Brendan is also a Board member of the Wireless Broadband Alliance, a member of the UKTIN Advisory Board and a Co-Chair of the Neutral Host & Infra Sharing Project Group of the Telecom Infra Project (TIP). As an active contributor to Boldyn Network’s digital publications, he brings a wealth of global industry experience, valuable insights, and most importantly an obsessive passion for all things innovative and exciting around building an interconnected future. Brendan is part of the Forbes Technology Council, an invitation-only community for world-class CIOs, CTOs, and technology executives.


Prior to Boldyn Networks, Brendan was the Chief Technology Officer for Telefonica’s O2 UK operation for six years, boasting achievements such as leading the development of O2’s network share partnership with Vodafone, O2’s fastest 4G deployment in the UK and the launch of its 5G network.


Specifically, Brendan had accountability for O2’s strategy, design, planning, test, delivery and operation of the entire mobile and fixed network, messaging, and Wi-Fi, supported by his team of more than 700 professional engineers. 


Delivering the best customer experience is at the heart of how Brendan works, knowing that his people are key to achieving this. Brendan is a strong advocate for his people and actively supports their development and self-learning.
